  • Each team can be represented by only one person who will be considered as team leader (teacher or school staff). Each team leader can register more than one project and the projects can be in any category of the competition. From one school, more team leaders are accepted (for different projects)
  • For university participants, projects must be developed by individuals (one student in a team). For high school students, teams of two may be formed (maximum two students). We are accepting teams of 2 students at University category and teams of 3 students at High school category, but only one, respectively 2 will be awarded and will present the project to the jury.
  • Each contestant can be registered for only one project, or in different teams in different projects. However, in case you and/or your team qualify to participate with multiple projects or to be part of more teams, you will be required to choose a single project to compete for the final or the team in which to compete. In other words, you may only compete in one project at the final, either as an individual, or as part of a team.
  • After filling in the application form on the web page, applications will be evaluated within 7 days and the team leader will be informed about the results by an e-mail.
  • In order to pass this phase you must complete the schools details, team leader details (full name, email, function), project details (project name, team name, project description category) and team members (full name and contact data). Also check twice if you wrote correct the project email address!

Second-Phase: (Selection for finals)

  • The projects that pass the pre-selection must be sent to the INFOMATRIX servers via ftp by January 30th, 2009 (International Participants) or March 6th, 2009 (National participants). ISC does not recommend contestants to send their projects by post! If you are a foreign team you may ask that your project to be evaluated starting with 5th of Janury 2009 in order to get visa.
After uploading the project on our ftp, the team leader should write an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it asking the evaluation of his/her project before the date of 24th of January. In 7 days from your request you will get an email with the result of evaluation.
If you register a project and ask for an earlier evaluation, the result that you will get will be final and you don't have the right to register one more time the same project.
  • Between January 24th and January 28th, 2009, the Jury will evaluate the projects that have been sent. The projects that qualify for the finals will be announced on the competition web page on January 29th, 2009 and the team leaders will be informed about the results by e-mail.
